Corporate Social Responsibility: Focusing on the "Silver Economy" to Promote Age-Friendly Foods

During the 2026 National Two Sessions (the National People's Congress and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference), Cai Jinchai, National People's Congress Representative and President of Panpan Food Group, proposed several initiatives focusing on the "silver economy." He noted that China currently has over 320 million people aged 60 and above, marking the country's entry into a moderately aging society, with the "silver economy" entering a high-growth phase valued in the trillions.

Addressing issues such as the lack of standards for age-friendly foods, insufficient industrial support, and lagging integration of services, Cai Jinchai put forward three recommendations: first, accelerate the development of localized standards for graded swallowing function foods to establish a solid institutional foundation; second, establish a national-level innovation consortium for age-friendly foods to strengthen technological and industrial support; and third, promote the deep integration of age-friendly foods into community-based eldercare services to achieve a "food + service" integrated supply model.

These recommendations reflect Panpan Food's sense of social responsibility as a national brand while also opening up new avenues for the company's future development.
